Mordechai “Mordy” Book, the Managing Partner of Book Law LLP, brings nearly three decades of experience to the Firm as a former General Counsel and solo practitioner. 

Mordy’s extensive background representing employers and advising Human Resources departments uniquely contributes to Book Law’s “Outside General Counsel” services. As a former in-house counsel to technology, finance, and real estate companies, both public and private, Mordy’s expertise spans Transactions, Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and Risk Considerations. He excels in strategic analysis, developing creative solutions for day-to-day organizational challenges, and achieving long-term goals. 

Prior to founding Book Law along with his brother Chaim, Mordy practiced corporate and transactional law. He closed numerous transactions exceeding a total of $4 billion, including sophisticated commercial joint ventures in mixed-use, multi-family, and office sectors, covering aspects like mortgage financing, bridge loans, construction loans, preferred equity, and mezzanine financing. 

Mordy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yeshiva University, a Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
