Mordechai “Mordy” Book is Managing Partner of Book Law LLP. For more than 25 years, Mordy has practiced as a General Counsel and as a solo practitioner.
A former in-house counsel to technology, finance and real estate companies both public and privately held, Mordy has substantial experience in Transactions, Operations, Human Resources, Legal and Risk Considerations, as well as strategic analysis for development and execution of creative solutions for day-to-day organizational challenges and long-term goals.
Mordy’s extensive experience representing employers and counseling their Human Resources departments serves Book Law in its “Outside General Counsel” services.
In his career, Mordy has represented clients in the acquisition, financing, sale and development of numerous large commercial properties totaling more than $4 billion, involving sophisticated commercial joint ventures representing owners, investors and developers in the mixed use, multi-family and office arenas, including mortgage financing, bridge loans, construction loans, preferred equity and mezzanine financing.
Mordy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yeshiva University, a Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
