As employment lawyers, we encompass many roles: business advisor, relationship counselor, teacher, and editor. I enjoy using my training and experience in Employment Law to guide my clients through the tangle of federal, state and local rules, alert them to changes in those laws, help craft workplace policies to mitigate the risk of employment law claims, and help prevent and, where necessary, resolve workplace conflicts.
I advise employers and employees on federal, state, and local employment laws. I negotiate and draft employment, severance and non-competition agreements, draft employee handbooks, and help clients develop and implement employment policies. I also conduct trainings on sexual harassment prevention for law firms, nonprofits and commercial entities, conduct investigations of discrimination and harassment claims, and counsel clients on a wide range of Employment Law and compliance matters.
As a Past Chair of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Labor & Employment Law Section and Past Chair of the NYSBA Women in Law Section, I have moderated and presented continuing legal education courses on Employment Law and professional practice for the NYS Office of the Attorney General, NYSBA and the Women’s Leadership Initiative at Albany Law School. In addition to my involvement in various bar associations, I have also authored several publications on various topics related to Employment Law.
