Fall Meeting in Niagara-on-the-Lake
Our partner Sheryl Galler, former chair of the New York State Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section, joined the Section at its Fall Meeting in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, for informative programs on cutting edge issues in employment law and networking with colleagues across the state. Topics included: recent shifts in policies and priorities of federal agencies that impact employers and employees; expansions and limits to employer obligations to provide workplace accommodations for disability and pregnancy; responsible use of AI in the practice of law; and recent trends in employment arbitration and mediation.
Sheryl will participate in a panel on the development and enforcement of policies addressing AI use in the workplace. The panel is part of the fall conference of the New York State Bar Association Women in Law Section, which Sheryl chaired from June 2021 through May 2023.
